"A distributed cloud refers to a cloud infrastructure physically located in different data centers. This can be a private, public, or hybrid cloud and may be managed 100% by the organization or provided as a service by Azure, AWS, Oracle, or other cloud service providers. The key criteria to defining the cloud architecture as being distributed is where the physical assets reside. Management, operation, utilization, and governance of registering cloud are similar to that of a hosted cloud or on-premise environment. The advantages of a distributed cloud include security, reliability, and the ability to optimize the performance of cloud resources."
