"I have worked as a bank teller for one of your competitors for the past four years. Although I love the team I work for, and the bank is a well-known one, it's a small branch which means minimal growth opportunity for me. I want to work here, as a bank teller, so that I can eventually grow into a loan specialist role with your institution."

I am a people person with strong communication and customer service skills. I believe these are important skills a teller should possess, as they interact with more customers on a daily basis. This is a good start! You've combined your interest in interacting with people with your interest in banking products. Consider strengthening your response by telling the interviewer that the position of a teller combines those two aspects into one position, which makes it an ideal fit for you.
