The interviewer may ask you questions about specific operations or procedures used in the role. Often, they are less concerned about your ability to perform the operation than they are about how you respond to the question. Some questions may be legitimate and meant to determine your expertise or capabilities. Others are asked to gain insight into your communication style, the ability to act under pressure, or explore other qualifications required by the position. Since you won't always know the rationale behind the interviewer's question, the best response is to answer the best you can and demonstrate how you would respond to a similar situation while on the job.
