During an interview for a Lotus Notes administrator's role, you will be asked about many of the product's features. As a Lotus Notes administrator, you should be able to easily answer most of these questions. Once the interviewer is comfortable with your expertise in this area, they will move on to more challenging questions. These can include situational and behavioral questions which address how you will respond to specific situations once in this role.

While you should be familiar with most of the features of the Lotus Notes application, you may be asked about something you haven't used or are unfamiliar with. If you are asked about a feature that you are unfamiliar with, admit this to the interviewer and then describe how you would locate the information they are asking about. This not only enables the interviewer to verify your application knowledge and demonstrate your experience working with it, but it also demonstrates your willingness to admit that you may not know everything. It also shows your expertise in researching topics related to this role.

"The White List feature available in Lotus notes enables administrators to control what images are displayed in the application and how they appear to the users. For example, some images may be displayed as a red cross mark rather than the actual image. Others may be hidden when specific operations or tools are open within the application, such as mail. The White List feature can also display the images as HTML links. This requires the users to click on the links or a separate 'show images' link to view the hidden images."
