"A challenge that I faced in a previous role involved a piece of a process that was slightly broken. When our chemists were finished with their piece of a project and they would pass it on to our scientific reviewers, there was no way of knowing where that project was after leaving it in the scientific reviewer's bin. At times, this challenge resulted in lost or misplaced data. Another chemist and I created an additional piece of the process where we would electronically record when the data was passed on to the other team and once that team received the data, the individual working on it would record that it was in their possession. This was a nice solution because we were able to see exactly who had the data if we needed to refer back to it for any reason."
