"Yes, I thoroughly understand the expectations of my current position. I perform a significant variety of tasks; however, my key responsibilities include keeping our 15 Customer Service Reps on track with their goals. This means that I am responsible for training and onboarding new hires and taking accountability for the store's sales performance. I communicate with the corporate head office regarding sales numbers, customer returns, stock levels, and inventory discrepancies. Just like in this open opportunity with Company ABC, my current job requires a great deal of attention to detail while expertly juggling multiple priorities."

"Yes, I do understand the expectations of my role with Company XYZ. First, I am to be reliable and enthusiastic about the company's mission. I am the first face that our customers see when they come into the office, so I smile, greet them, and make them feel comfortable. Similar to the key responsibilities in this opportunity with Company ABC, I keep the office running smoothly every day, which means answering the phone promptly, supporting our executive team, and responding to email inquiries."

Avoid answering in a way that implies you have little direction, focus, or accountability. If you show little awareness of the positive impact you make for your company, the interviewer will see this as a red flag. Instead, display maturity and self-awareness through an understanding of your job expectations.

The interviewer would like you to take some time to describe your current role and the key expectations placed on you. There is no need to take 10 minutes guiding the interviewer through every detail of your day. However, take a minute to discuss your key responsibilities and what you aim to achieve. Then, make a connection between the expectations of your current role and the expectations of this new job opportunity.

When I was recruited, they had a meeting, and it was explained to me the expectations, by increasing the number of customers and maintaining existing customers, as well as reviewing operating expenses, evaluating the team, distributing tasks according to their capabilities, and creating an information platform database for the company. also proposing new products in the market, or adding value to existing products
And I think that after three years I have achieved all...and this all motivated me to work on to keep achieving their expectation.

Rachelle's Feedback
You offer a lot of great detail here, but the delivery is a bit awkward. It seems you 'bury the lead,' so to speak. I have offered a revision for you, below :)

When hired at Company ABC, they explained to me their expectations, which included increasing our customer base and maintaining existing customers. Also, reviewing operating expenses, evaluating the team, distributing tasks according to their capabilities, and creating an information platform database for the company. I was also to propose new products in the market while adding value to existing products."

Absolutely, my day consists of supporting customers' needs where I am supporting a CCG with cost-effective evidence and then educating the community on how our product works based on the CCGs proposals. Each area that I work in is different and so enjoy the challenges in order to bring the most effective support to my customers.

Yes, of course. I use a hosting plan to drive breakthroughs with objectives and KPIs which are fully aligned in annual planning. I also make alignments in daily management, and monthly and quarter review processes. On top of this, I always have 1:1 meetings with my key stakeholders and seek feedback to continually improve on my performance.
Marcie's Feedback
Can you possibly talk more about what some of the objectives and KPIs are? What other responsibilities are expected of you? Make sure to explain these elements so that the interviewer completely understands your current role and its expectations.

I perform several tasks in my current role as an audiologist. My key responsibilities include diagnostic evaluations and fitting and dispensing hearing aids. My role continues long after the initial appointment. I pride myself on developing long-term relationships with my patients. These relationships are based on unsurpassed personal service that begins the first time a patient walks through our doors.

Yes, my job consists of many tasks. I have just undertaken a new territory and project. My key responsibilities are currently seeking out new customers and identifying new business opportunities by using sales data and learning about new teams to build relationships in previously unworked competitor areas to drive new business and the growth of Resource Thicken Up Clear. I provide existing customers with product support, samples, and training package for nursing homes. I contact nursing homes to offer and provide this training, and find out what products are being used in each home, and then switch to our product, generating sales.
Marcie's Feedback
What exactly is Resource Thicken Up Clear? Can you provide a few details about what the product is that you currently sell? Otherwise, you've done a great job of explaining that you identify new business opportunities, analyze and leverage sales data, build new relationships, drive new business and growth, provide existing customer support and training, and contact nursing homes to offer this support. Wow! This is definitely an impressive list of responsibilities.
