Whether spontaneous human combustion is real or a fictitious medical phenomenon is irrelevant. This fun, conversation-generating question is meant to offer insights into your personality. But it could also inform them of your sense of logic, analytic thinking, and approach to medicine. Evidence and well-researched answers will go farther than speculation presented as fact or theories presented with conviction. Have fun, but answer according to what research and evidence suggest when presenting your theories.

"I have to agree with the consensus that there's likey an external source of ignition in most cases, and that the evidence is destroyed by the fire. Since spontaneous human combustion is spontaneous, it is unlikely that it can be replicated in a controlled group setting. Also, I don't think anyone would volunteer for those experiments, which leaves it in the fun realm of entertaining speculation. What are your thoughts on the subject? I hope you haven't encountered this in a dental setting? If so, I may rethink my career. Ha ha."
