"Since applying to BU, I have spent a lot of time researching the city of Boston and learning about the community. I was thrilled to see so many features online discussing why Boston is one of the best cities in the US to live in. One factor that stood out to me is that Boston is one of the fittest cities in the world. I love to be involved in team sports, and I'm sure I'll have no problem finding a few fun leagues to join throughout the year. Above all, Boston is a city of learning. I was happily surprised to learn that in 2017, Boston ranked 8th worldwide as the best city for students. There are more than 20 higher learning institutes in the Greater Boston area, giving me ample opportunities to meet other up-and-coming professionals and entrepreneurs in the city. Also, I have looked into volunteering at Casserly House as a tutor for its upcoming Summer Enrichment Program. The organization provides critical mentorship for students and offers literacy classes throughout the year. I am confident there are many ways I can contribute to BU and its surrounding community, and I look forward to learning of meaningful opportunities to become involved."
