Auburn University exercises great discernment when choosing applicants. What is your plan if you are not accepted into veterinary school this year?

"While I would be disappointed that I wasn't accepted on my first try, I wouldn't let it get me down. I would first request my interview packet to see where I may have struggled and take the year to improve in any deficient areas. Then, I'd diligently seek shadowing opportunities at a few local emergency vet hospitals to improve my skills before applying again at Auburn University next year."

If you are not accepted, show that you will take a different path, perhaps into veterinarian pharma or military dog care. Or you can let the interviewers know that one rejection won't stop you at all! Talk about your plan to reapply if rejected. Whatever path you choose, you must show the interviewers you have confidence and drive. It'll take more than one rejection to keep you down!
