Looking at your resume, I see you have some gaps in your work history. Is there a reason for this gap?
The interviewer needs to ensure that the gap that they see is not the result of legal trouble. It is all right to have gaps on a resume if they are legitimate reasons. Be honest and forthright to the interviewer as you share the reasons why.
"The first gap in work history came when my wife and I had our first child. The baby was born prematurely, and I needed to be at the hospital. Unfortunately, the company I worked for would not allow me to be gone and refused to grant the time off. The second gap was in 2018 when I took off to be the primary caregiver to an aging parent."
