When my late mother got diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer, I had to shift my priorities to become her primary caregiver. It was a turbulent and challenging period, but I was able to rise and become a leader in the household. It made me a more responsible person as I had to be more independent. That taught me the importance of always being prepared and responding swiftly to changes.
