"First and foremost, I absolutely have loved my experiences working with pediatric patients in the x-ray and CT scan settings. The children are often scared and in an unfamiliar place and I really love working with them through a friendly and loving approach. I've heard many other techs want to shy away from peds patients because of the need to work closely with overbearing and concerned parents. But as a mother myself who has had a child go through some scary health issues, I know where those parents are coming from. I think my calm demeanor and expertise in my field would help put parents and the kids at ease while I am getting the needed images."
