QUESTION 24 OF 31

What type of work environment do you dislike working in?

At Homesense, we move fast -- we're always adapting, evolving, and innovating, and the fast pace brings variety as well as challenges. We recognize that this work environment isn't a great fit for everyone, so talk to the interviewer about any atmospheres you've had trouble working in in the past.

"I can be productive in most work environments, so long as the mentality is positive and teamwork is encouraged. I cannot work in an environment that feels negative or toxic."

Anonymous Answer

I really thrive in an atmosphere where co-workers get along, where there is always that potential for movement, and where I am recognized. I've worked in a toxic environment, and it became difficult to continue wanting to be there. It took its toll.

Rachelle's Feedback

Rather than ending on the negative, I recommend ending on the positive. I have reworked your response slightly below.

"I have worked in toxic environments that were unsupportive and find that I thrive in an atmosphere where co-workers get along, where there is always that potential for movement, and where I am recognized. I am confident that HomeSense provides a healthy work environment that I am seeking in my next opportunity."
