I have been passively looking for a job for some time now but wanted to wait for the right fit. I became more active in my job search once I was required to commute to Boston again. I left my job at _______ in November because I could not commute to Boston for one more day and wanted to focus fully on finding a job I was passionate about.

This is a good explanation. However, it sounds like the commute was just the thing that finally pushed you to look more earnestly. Consider explaining why you've been passively looking for awhile. Was your prior role no longer challenging enough? Was there a new area you wanted to try to explore?
