I tend to leave independent long-term assignments for last. It is not because I dread them, but because I can please many more people by completing their small requests first and getting them back to work. I believe responsiveness is very important no matter what the job may be.

Rather than focusing on being a people pleaser, which can sometimes have a negative connotation, consider adjusting your answer to say that you complete smaller tasks first that can help keep overall team momentum going before focusing on more involved individual projects because it helps both you and the team work more efficiently.
