What is your definition of hard work?
Hard work and dedication can be interpreted differently by everyone. To one person, another person's hard work could seem like slacking. Talk to the interviewer about how you interpret a hard day's work.
"For me, hard work means that I did what I could that day to exceed expectations. I come to work early and stay late if needed and I go over and above the requirements without hesitation."
"I know that I have worked hard if, at the end of the day, I can be proud of the work that I completed."

For me, hard work means that I did what I could that day to exceed expectations. I am willing to come to work early and stay late if necessary. I go above and beyond the requirements without hesitation. A couple of months ago at my last job, I won the "Above and Beyond" award out of 30 people on the Marketing team as a recognition of my hard work on a difficult project.
