"There are so many healthcare issues that I am passionate about. If I could only choose one, I wish that the general public were more aware of the signs and dangers of undiagnosed childhood diabetes. This area interests me because I have a young child with diabetes and have learned so much by researching. Still, there is not much public awareness about the disease."

"This is a very tough question as many underfunded and worthy healthcare issues exist. I will go with one of my biggest areas of interest and research. I would choose pancreatic cancer if I could increase public awareness of any healthcare-related issue. Yes, cancer does receive a lot of awareness; however, pancreatic cancer does not. Across the UK, around 8,800 people are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and 8,700 die from the disease each year. I started learning the statistics after my mother was diagnosed and died from the disease."

There is no right or wrong answer to this question. The interviewer merely wants to see what area of healthcare you would like more public awareness of and why.
