Why the Interviewer Asks This Question
The interviewer wants to see how passionate you are about your job. If you adamantly say that you cannot picture doing anything different, they will see you genuinely enjoy your career. If you are not passionate about your career choice, the interviewer may choose another candidate.

Focus Your Answer On
If you genuinely love your job, you would answer that you cannot see yourself in another career. If you have thought of changing careers, it will look better to the interviewer if you respond with a career in a related field. Some examples of a related field are Substance Abuse Therapists, Mental Health Technicians, Registered Nurses, and Psychologists.

Early in my career, I considered going back to school and becoming a Registered Nurse, but now that I have been in this profession for ten years, I feel I am exactly where I need to be and have dismissed the thought of becoming a nurse."
