Why did you leave your last job?

Your interviewer may call your previous employer for a reference, so you need to be honest if you were laid off or fired. If you resigned on your terms, describe the reason for leaving your last job. Be sure you do not speak poorly of any coworkers or supervisors, even if that is the reason you left.

"I left my last job as a restaurant manager to pursue a career as a massage therapist. I was working long hours and had become pregnant with my first child.
