Do you know what type of management style helps you be most productive? Some managers like to keep a close eye on you, always hanging over your shoulder. Others like to let you do your thing, giving you the opportunity to come to them. Do you know what you need from a manager? Think about the last project you accomplished or challenge you overcame at work. How did your manager help you? Did they provide moral support by encouraging you or did they hold your hand every step of the way. Sometimes when you start a new job, you need a little extra support to help you learn the job and the tasks required. Once you get going, are you able to work independently? Can you self-manage? Demonstrate your awareness of what you need from a manager by explaining how past managers have supported you and what you learned from those experiences.
