"I don't think it is any secret that breakthroughs in research and technology will continue in the field of dermatology. I would like to see advancements in genetics and gene therapy break their way into helping treat various disorders and conditions that can be linked to genetics. I think laser technology will continue to develop beyond the cosmetic arena and begin to treat skin cancers."

Be prepared to talk in an educated manner about how you feel the delivery of healthcare could and will improve over time. Perhaps you feel that healthcare can evolve through more patient-centric attitudes. Maybe you think care coordination and synergy within the administration is the fastest way to improve healthcare. Maintain a positive attitude and describe how you feel healthcare is currently evolving.

"Patient access continues to be an issue all over the country in most specialties, and I know that Dermatology is no stranger to this. I've read about some patients turning to non-derm care with poor results. The solution to this problem is likely a multi-pronged approach, and I hope I'm helping by pursuing the field. I think more mid-level providers interested in a Dermatology practice is also vital."

"With advances in technology, and recent developments in tele-health, I hope to see the delivery of dermatologic care evolve to include more teledermatology. I hope this will improve access to care, particularly for those that may live in remote or rural areas where they would otherwise need to drive long distances or face long wait times."
