This question may provide an opportunity to highlight the working relationship between a dentist and dental hygienist. In establishing open and honest communication, the dentist and hygienist can work together in providing optimal care. Communication should always be through the appropriate secure channels if containing sensitive patient information, and should include proper documentation. Communication is defiantly key to a happy, well-working work force. I show my co-workers this by always communicating and ideas, changes and also my willingness to ask questions if i do not understand something first time to avoid any break downs in communication within the team.
