PKI is essential for cyber security. The sole purpose of PKI is the facilitation of secure information transfer electronically. This can happen through a range of activities in the network, including confidential email, internet banking, and e-commerce. PKI is a requirement for activities where passwords alone are inadequate authentication methods. PKI bolsters your defense in terms of cyber security because it protects you from identity theft.
