"The technology industry is constantly changing. Staying up to date with current developments is a key requirement for my profession. I dedicate time every day to this task. Methods I use to accomplish this include reading industry journals, meeting with manufacturers and product developers, and networking with my peers to discuss new developments they have become aware of. I try to incorporate what I learn into the work I do."

I always make sure to sign up for industry-relevant webinars about new products and development in technology. Also at ****, as a way to increase team engagement, I invented Teaching Thursdays, basically every week we schedule an hour (On Thursdays) and a selected member of the team has to teach the rest about something new within their area of expertise. Ex: our network's person talks about the latest Meraki router Cisco is coming up with, I usually make it about some new efficiency that has come up. For example last week I watched a presentation about Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and as a way to consolidate knowledge I educated the team on it.
