Some will stop at nothing to further their career pursuits. You shouldn't be concerned about the competition. You can't speak to their merits, and you can't compare yourself to those you don't know. All you can do is confidently advertise your unique talents and traits. It is easy to compare students' academic accomplishments, but often a person's motivation is the key to their success. This boils down to one's attitude and approach. Consider what you attribute your success to and what intangible unique qualities and qualifying statements you can offer that set you apart.
