In an interview, you'll be asked questions that seem similar to others in the set. The interviewer does this to test your attention to detail and be able to find distinctions from one question to another. But, it also tests the consistency of your answers and the breadth of your knowledge. Be prepared to distinguish them from each other and exhibit that you are continually active in your self-development and pursuit of knowledge and that you remain actively involved in the conversations that impact your future career as a dentist. Think about the industry-related articles you have recently read. Be prepared to discuss what perked your interest and your biggest takeaway.

"I was reading 'Dentistry Today' the other day, an online publication I read every week. An article written by Dr. Roger Levin caught my eye. It discussed what dentistry would look like after COVID-19, a topic I have been following closely. The article brought up some interesting points, including the challenges we will face in dental staffing and further change in dental technology, which we will need to embrace to keep ourselves, patients, and staff safe. The biggest takeaway for me was that the author said those in the dental profession who prepare now and implement changes as soon as possible are most likely to see better outcomes."
