"Keeping my education and training current and up-to-date is essential to my success as a medical professional. I plan to take at least two continuing education courses annually and keep up-to-date with journals like The New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA. I recently read an article focusing on the scarcity of medical professionals who can communicate with patients in sign language. This motivated me to take an American Sign Language class, which I greatly enjoyed. I believe it's critical to my success and the betterment of my patients that I keep myself in the know on emerging medical best practices and treatments."
