"At this point in my medical studies, I am most interested in brain injuries and their impact on our quality of life. I bring the compassion required to make a difference in this therapeutic area. I saw my brother's communication and physical abilities shift quite dramatically after sustaining a concussion from a hit during a football game. My parents took him to many doctors' appointments, physical therapy, and speech therapy sessions. After a few months of seeing a series of medical professionals, I was mesmerized by the change I saw in him. I am fascinated by neurological science and am eager to learn more while attending the COM program at Kansas City University."
