"I know how tricky it can be to get a student's attention. Just the other day I was working one-on-one with one of my students. He kept doodling and would not make eye contact. Since I knew he loved to draw, I had him doodle a timeline of all of the events that took place in the chapter and describe them as he drew. Sometimes you have to think outside of the box."
