Show the interviewer that you will still get the job done even when you aren't excited about the task at hand. Think about a time when there was a work-related task that you did not want to do. Tell your Suncor interviewer what your task was, and explain why you were not excited about it. End your response by showing that even though you were not enthusiastic about the work, you made it happen promptly knowing that it would help the organization as a whole.

"I like to set rewards for myself when there are undesirable tasks at hand. For instance, a large part of what I do is review all of the resumes that come into our job portal every week. I typically enjoy it, but the volume can be overwhelming if I try to do it all at once. Sometimes there will be up to 200 resumes to review. They all begin to look the same after a while, so I have set a goal to look at 20 at a time, give myself a quick break or work on something else, then return to the task."

"There are times when the weather makes working in the field less than desirable. For example, I worked in the field last year when the wind chill was below zero. That's cold even when you have the best gear available and there are several extra steps to welding such as pre-heating that are required to avoid cracking and warping. Regardless, I know it is critical to do the job and do it right, so I make sure I take breaks to warm up and I use the cold to help me keep my senses sharp. I am confident that I will be able to complete any similar tasks I may be required to do here at Suncor."
