There is no wrong answer to this question as it is a personal inspiration. However, try to keep political or religious figures out of your response in case the interviewer disagrees with your views. It would not be good to offend your interviewer during your interview!

"My grandfather has been the greatest inspiration in my life. I was orphaned at four, and he raised me single-handedly after my grandmother died. He always worked hard to support me, and he believed in me. When I told other family members I wanted to become a neurosurgeon, they all scoffed at me as no one in my family had ever graduated from high school, much less medical school.
