Some possible risks include known and unknown side effects or exacerbation of other conditions. From another perspective, clinical trials can be time-consuming and require a lot of travel back and forth for the study, lab procedures, and follow-up visits. There is also the possibility that the treatment doesn't work or they are given a placebo. I'm well versed in explaining these risks to participants and fielding their follow-up questions."
