How would you sell an investment product you did not believe in?

"I can almost always find something positive in a product or service offering; however, that does not mean that I stand behind it. So, in a nutshell, I would not sell an investment product that I would not buy into myself. A great deal of my work, as an advisor, is to uncover those features and draw attention to them, allowing my customer to see the full picture before making investment decisions. I appreciate that Merrill Lynch operates by the same philosophy, which is one of the reasons why I applied to work for you."

"I would never sell an investment product in which I did not believe. Before making any suggestions to clients, I think about what I would do if it were my financial future. If I feel any tug of hesitation at all, I do further research before bringing the option to the table."
