I encourage them to be open and honest in these conversations (in a constructive way) and listen carefully to their concerns to watch for signs of burnout. If someone voices concerns, I dig deeper to understand if I'm assigning them too much work or if they have a lot going on in their personal life that I need to be sensitive to. Sometimes this means adjusting work schedules or workloads until things resolve, but flexibility is critical to managing their stress."

"I closely observe the team, both in one-on-one and group settings, to look for stress or negativity, and once identified, I address it at once. I will be honest if I'm observing a slip in performance or complaints are received from the team or customers so that we can work to resolve it quickly instead of letting it fester. I encourage them to be open about what's going well and what's not. I demonstrate I'm an advocate for them and will help remove barriers where possible and help them navigate the cause of their stress."
