Meet the Author

Over the course of my career, I have interviewed, hired, and managed staff to include employee relations activities such as policy interpretation, guidance, and problem solving. I have been responsible for all position description development and evaluation and assignment of related compensation levels by compiling salary survey data and analyzing and recommending related actions. I have developed thousands of interview questions to be sure we were able to match the perfect candidate to the perfect position based on not only hard skills, but the critical thinking skills that are much more difficult to define.

As a leader, I have assigned tasks, circumvented/resolved problems, and ensured all business and department policies, procedures and standards were maintained. I have managed complaints and investigations into current staff to provide mediation and guidance in writing appropriate interview questions tailored to each role.

I am a demonstrated change agent in managing subordinate staff through mergers and changes in leadership, recommending improvements to executives regarding training and reporting processes, and developing manuals and directives supporting changes. My leadership skill set includes faclitiation, mediation, and resolution to formal and informal issues.
