After my residency, I plan to pursue a pediatric otolaryngology fellowship, focusing on identifying and treating communication disorders in children. My younger brother could not talk for the first five years of his life. Once he was referred to a pediatric otolaryngologist, he was diagnosed with hearing loss that had gone undetected since he was born. With proper diagnosis and treatment, my brother finally communicated, and that is when I knew I wanted to become a pediatric ENT physician."
