Tell me about a time when you have had to make a big decision, such as shutting down a production line. How did you come to the conclusion and how did you proceed?

"Luckily in my career, I have not had to shut down an entire production line. I have had to re-work components of production; however. I keep a very close eye on quality at every step, and this has prevented many disasters over the years."

The interviewer would like to know how you process big decisions. Making big decisions is a large part of being a QC Inspector. Tell the hiring manager about a time when you had to do just that. What did you consider before implementing your decision?

"Last year I did have to shut down the production line. The product was not turning out as planned and the quality was not up to our company standards. It was a difficult decision. A lot of money was at stake. I concluded by asking myself if I would be proud of the product? The answer was no, so I shut it down."
