How long would you expect to work for us if hired?
Hiring and onboarding new staff is expensive, so your interviewer will be wanting to hear that you are expecting to stay for awhile. Definitely don't promise anything that you can't commit to, but be honest about the time commitment you are willing to give.
"I expect to work for your library for the remainder of my career. I want to make an impact on the local library and be a steady presence here for awhile. My kids are all grown up and almost out of the house, so I plan to dedicate my time to building programs at the library and helping the younger generation find a love for reading."
