"I think it's important for everyone to be on the same page, so I am open and direct in my communication with parents. I share my observations and ask questions to find out if there is something going on at home that could be affecting the child's behavior. I treat my relationship with the parents like we are a team, asking what we can all do together in order to help the child be successful."

Dealing with parents can be tricky! It's important for you to communicate any odd behaviors or observations for the child's well-being. Explain how you would discuss these topics with a parent, either through sending an email or speaking to them directly. You want the interviewer to know that you have the child's best interest at heart.
