Tell me about your experience visiting architectural sites to inform a project you're working on.

"No amount of research in the office can beat being on-site and being physically and psychologically immersed within the environment. I feel this is important because it allows me to feel connected to the site, understand its context, and assist in creating solutions that are sensitive and responsive to the particular needs and characteristics of a place."

Discuss your process when working on complicated projects and your experience interacting with architects, engineers, and contractors. This demonstrates your understanding of the greater context of the work you're involved in. Discuss a specific example of a time you conducted a site visit or interacted directly with designers and contractors and how this helped you do your job. If you don't have an example, share an example of your appreciation for buildings, bridges, and other structures and how the built form inspires your work.
