"When I was researching Detroit Mercy Dental and saw there were dozens of student organizations, I felt excited and encouraged. Then, when I did a deeper dive into the groups and the range of focus, my excitement compounded. The student group that captures my interest the most is the Pediatric Dental Club. I aim to expand my knowledge of pediatric dental care and was thrilled to learn that this club provides students with the opportunity to discuss difficult pediatric cases, learn about upcoming advancements in pediatric dentistry, and volunteer in the local community. If I were able to join this club, I would be thankful to be given additional educational opportunities outside of the classroom and have the opportunity to explore pediatric dentistry through community involvement. I look forward to learning more about the student organizations and plan to apply to join at least one group each year."
