How does your family feel about you studying to become a pharmacist? Do you have a great deal of support?

The interviewers want to know that if you were accepted into Temple University, you would have the support required for your heavy and challenging pharmacy program workload.

Discuss your support system and how your family and friends express their excitement for your career. You can also mention anyone in your family who may have had a similar path in the pharmaceutical industry.

"My family is incredibly proud of me for pursuing a career as a pharmacist. My father is especially keen as he graduated from Temple University and has worked as a pharmacist for 20 years. My parents and my older brother live in the area, so I will have a robust and encouraging support system should I be accepted into Temple University."

If you, unfortunately, do not have the support of your family, briefly explain to the interviewers why your family does not support you. Then, describe who in your life is a support system. This could be a mentor, coworker, friend, roommate, or partner.
