This question aims to see how resourceful you are and whether you exhibit outside-of-the-box thinking. They're seeking to measure your preferred working style, how you problem solve and overcome obstacles, and whether your approach (not cheating) meets their ethical standards. You want your answer to exhibit determination and that you aren't easily discouraged. Frame yourself as resourceful, with a propensity to think fast on your feet, and knowing when and where to look for help if you need it. Whether you reach out to other students, have additional conversations with your professors, or engage a tutor to help you better understand the material, explain your approach to overcoming such difficulties. Where there is a will, there is a way, is the attitude you want to convey. Discuss your approach and how it has benefitted you in the past.

"When I have encountered academic difficulty in the past, I have recognized the issue early and approached my professor for additional information or study resources. With these resources, I will either increase the time spent reviewing the class material or engage another person to increase my understanding of the topic. For instance, during my biophysical chemistry class this year, I found myself falling behind as we approached the subject of molecular interactions. To ensure my success, I hired a Department of Chemistry tutor. This approach was beneficial, and I gained a much clearer understanding of the subject, which helped my grade a great deal. Should I come across any difficulties while attending dental school, I will not hesitate to seek outside assistance."
