What types of team settings do you typically work in?

The Kellogg MBA program is likely to put your teamwork skills to the test. You will be instructed on best practices for improving team performance in the workplace, and you will apply what you learn in the projects you are assigned. Your interviewer asks this question to get a sense of the types of team settings you are comfortable working in.

Your answer should tell the interviewer the size and structure of the teams you typically work in. You should discuss the roles represented within your teams, the types of projects you work on, and any customers or ancillary groups you partner with regularly.

"I work in cross-functional product development teams. We usually have five to seven primary team members representing various areas of expertise needed for the project. We partner directly with our clients to gather requirements and test and implement our products. We also partner with representatives from our legal, finance, marketing, and delivery departments as needed."
