"An excellent leader should be a match for the situation and the individuals they lead. The best leaders understand all of the various approaches to leadership and use a custom approach that best fits the situation and team.

For example, they should be willing to serve and able to direct. They should know how to inspire and motivate. They understand the big picture and how to execute tactical plans. They know how to delegate, coach, and create an environment in which everyone can thrive. I know that is a tall order, but it is one of the main reasons I want to attend the Kellogg MBA program.
