As a data analyst, you will likely have opportunities to work on cross-functional teams. Members of these teams have various backgrounds, differing priorities, and varied skill sets. Data analysts must be able to explain these concepts in a way that is easily understood by everyone. To successfully do so, data analysts need to have the ability to apply these technical and statistical concepts to the business--specifically to those parts of the business represented on your team. This is possible when data analysts have a more holistic view of the company."
