"When I first started at my current job, we didn't have any recycling system in place and our waste levels were through the roof. I spent some time after work looking into different recycling possibilities, and then I got to work creating a strategy for involving my coworkers in recycling efforts -- I even created a points and award system to inject some friendly competition into the plan. I took the idea to my manager, and she was really pleased; she gave me complete ownership of the project. Within a few months, our waste levels had decreased significantly, and I think it brought us all closer as a team."
