"I would be happy to follow any protocol put forth by your company, should a passenger forget an item in my vehicle. In my current driving role, my first instinct is to contact the person by phone if I can, if they booked their ride through our app. If the person's identity were unknown, I would return the item to our office's lost and found at the end of my shift."

While it's great that you're an excellent navigator or that you have a lively personality, don't forget that employers are also looking for workers with honesty and integrity. Show the interviewer that your heart is in the right place. If someone left their belongings in your cab, you'd immediately find a way to get it back to them. If there is no means of contacting the person, you will surrender the items to the nearest police station. If the cab company has their own lost and found, then that's even better. Whatever the options, be sure to show integrity in your response.

"My current employer has a system for lost and missing items. The moment I find an item in my cab, I notify dispatch along with the time and a description of the items. Dispatch will then try to contact the passenger and let them know their item will be available for pickup at our office the following day. I take pride in the fact that I have never been dishonest in the workplace. My values and morals are important to me."
