"There are two main types of optimizers I use to tune in oracle database. The first is a Rule-Based Optimizer or RBO. The other is a CBO, which is a Cost-Based Optimizer. Which optimizer I use is based on the guidance provided by the database project stakeholders and the objective of the optimization. It is not unusual to use elements of both the RBO and the CBO when optimizing a database."
