Can you discuss the different types of optimizers you use?
This question can either stand by itself be a follow-up to a question you were asked earlier during the interview. Interviewers will typically ask follow-up questions to clarify your previous answer or collect additional information about the topic. Interviewers may ask follow-up questions at any time during the interview, but typically they immediately follow the original question.
When you recognize a question as a follow-up, quickly review the previous questions and your answers to identify the topic you are being asked about and refresh yourself on how you originally responded to the interviewer's question. Knowing this will enable you to expand on your original answer or answer similarly. Interviewers will appreciate consistency between your original answer and response to this follow-up question.

Which optimizer I use is based on the guidance provided by the database project stakeholders and the objective of the optimization.
