Empathy and hard work. I have good life experience that has molded me into an understanding and empathetic person that specifically relates to the OB/GYN profession. I had a difficult delivery myself during the most challenging years of my life in medical school. Having been there myself and remembering the feelings I had, I can genuinely relate to other women. While in medical school my hard work and determination allowed me to complete both my doctorate and master's program among the top of my class.
Marcie's Feedback
Excellent! Being empathic is definitely a strength in this profession. Relating to your patients and understanding how they feel will enable you to excel as an ob-gyn. Can you provide more information about the difficulties you overcame? The more details you include, the more memorable and meaningful your answer will be to the interviewer. Great job!
Master the clinical scenarios and ethical questions that program directors emphasize.
